This allows you to control the sounds, adjust your sound preferences & volumes, and select specific hearing settings for different environments & routines. Connecting to Bluetooth with your hearing aids depends on the model of your hearing aid device and your smart phone. For your convenience & comfort, we’ve outlined the steps you need to follow to connect your hearing aids to your smart phone.
Connecting Android mobile phone
It’s important to note that not all hearing aid models are compatible with Android devices. Check the user manual, manufacturer’s website, or ask your hear.com hearing consultant to ensure your Android works with your hearing aids.
- Turn on your hearing aids.
- Access Google Play and download the app for your specific hearing aid app if one is available. The app will walk you through the process of pairing your devices. Otherwise, continue with step 3.
- Go to Settings on your phone.
- Tap Connected devices > Pair new device.
- Choose your hearing aid device name and click on it to complete pairing from the list of available devices. If you have multiple hearing aid devices: Wait for the first hearing aid to pair & connect, then tap on the other hearing aid in the list of available devices to finish connecting both.
Connecting iPhone
- Turn your hearing aids on
- Access App store and download the app for your specific hearing aid app if one is available. The app will walk you through the process of pairing your devices. Otherwise, continue with step 3
- Go to Settings on your phone.
- Tap on General > Accessibility.
- Swipe up >tap Hearing Devices.
- Turn Bluetooth on (the phone will detect your hearing aid device automatically)
- Tap on your devices when shown > Pair.
