BTE vs. ITE

In-the-ear (ITE) hearing aids are made to order according to the form and dimensions of your ear canal. They are an exceptional product with very much design comfort and almost no visibility as it is placed inside the ear. These are suggested for individuals having hearing loss within the range of mild to moderate. It is perfect product for those users who want comfort and less visible hearing aids on priority list also they can manage to pay for a little higher cost. Technologically there are 3 types of ITEs; the standard ITE (In-the-ear), in which the shell is put in into the ear canal; ITC (In-the-canal) hearing aids, positioned directly in the ear canal; CIC (Completely in Canal), has a thin nylon string to draw them out of the canal.
Behind-the-ear (BTE) hearing aids have all parts placed back of the ear, linking the hearing aid to an ear mold that is placed in the ear canal with a clear tube. Generally they are available in a wide range of colours matching the colour of your skin colour. These are best suited for individual with moderate to severe hearing loss, predominantly those with small ear canals or less agility when using hearing aids.
